I got FlexiSign 7.6 in a shop buyout. What Windows edition works best? How many editions back will it work? I can upgrade to 8.5, but have heard a lot of fussing about Vista. I'm buing a new lap top, that I assume I'll eventually have Windows 7 on. Any suggestions?
Thank you, Tim Borden

Hi Tim. I'm using 7.6 on XP for a couple of years. I think the main benefits pf upgrading would be more up to date import and export filters. I'm running a large format seiko off 7.6 and using a few workarounds can print files created from cs3. My understanding of windows 7 is that it will allow all xp compatible programs to run. If that's the case, you'll still be safe with 7.6 on winows 7. If you check the scanvec amiable site, they would probably have info on that

Thank you very much Kevin. I'm picking up a new laptop, and wanted to make sure Flexi 7.6 will run on it.
Are you happy with the Seiko printer? I've seen ads, but haven't talked to anyone with one. I can't buy one, but their ads are enticing.
I'm apparently disabled. I get up like nothing is wrong, then I run into an invisible wall. I've kept thinking I could go back to work, but it's just not going to happen soon.
I appreciate you taking the time to answer. It means a lot.

Hi Tim. I'm four years using the Seiko. Have it on a bulk system for the last three using Marabu Inks. Really great machine. Only downside are the expensive heads but thankfully they have a good lifespan. We print onto mainly vinyl, but print some banners as well. Have a Gerber Edge but it's just gathering dust now as a standby in case the Seiko ever goes down.
