Haha Glenn, it's not the pixels on my end, in fact they must have used the wrong file or possibly a web image. I'm surprised they printed it like that. This is the sign Glenn is referring to...

SignCraft is a fine magazine, but would you agree that ever since the Letterheads got started how the quality of signs got so much better? Bill

I think SignCraft is resposible for the tremendous growth of dimensional work around the country. In the 80s and early 90's it was rare to see a carved sign outside the New England states, now I see them everywhere.

In my opinion, SignCraft, the Letterheads, and Gary Anderson have had more influence on our profession than anything else in the last 50 years.
Since they are all intertwined, it would be difficult to point to any one single influence that is greater than the other. They all seemed to come together at just the right time.
I think there are more Gary Anderson imitators than any other individual sign person. Many use his "style" and don't even know him, but they are influenced by someone in their area (or through SignCraft) that has been influenced by someone else that has copied Gary.
Cam is right about the dimensional work. While it may have been around for a long, long time it was normally popular in just small areas of the world. SC just opened those areas to the rest of us, and the fire spread.
SignCraft orginated about the same time as the Letterheads (the seven guys in Denver) and they were the perfect match for each other.
