I am doing the vinyl letting on a vendor's flatdeck truck, right at the very back.
They just repainted the deck and bumper with a glossy tremclad type stuff. Here is my choice of methods on applying their B&W type. I can cut everything out of white vinyl and use the colour of the truck as the black. OR Apply a white background and apply black vinyl over it. The Client has no preference, leaving it to me.
What do you think?

If he doesn't think he'll need to change anything, I would normally just cut the lettering/backgound from white...letting the black truck show through for the lettering.

Cheaper, faster, easier and looks just as good.

I finished the job. Installed it dead straight, looked crooked to me, flatdeck wasn't true. Client had no problem with it. Said it was perfect. It was certainly easier than putting down 2 layers. Thanks everyone. G
