Some of you know John Oldham - the Texas sign guy that hosted the International Letterhead meet in Waco back in the 90's.
Yesterday I talked to John on the phone and he wanted you to know that he is getting married tomorrow (Saturday).
There has been a lot of changes in John's life over the past years. You may remember that he lost his son, Ben, in a motorcycle accident just after his divorce.
He moved from Waco out to China Spring, which is just "over yonder" from Waco. John has become very active in missionary work for his church and recently spent some time as a missionary in Africa.
The economy here in Texas has effected many of us old sign painters and so John recently began working as a teacher in one of our local prisons, as he had been a public school teacher in years past.
John is a motorcycle mechanic, rides a Harley, and raises Belgian horses...and races motorcycles in between trips to the hospital.
John's life has experienced a few bumps but he's mellowing nicely and looking forward to sharing the rest of his life with Becky.
