When using MDO do you use good 1 or 2 side? Thinking up here in the north.

We've used MDO that has a backer sheet for the last 10 years. Essentially it is good 2/Sides. I wouldn't trust G1S MDO as it is more likely to warp. Like any product, some manufacturers are better than others. We have a good local supplier that we have use for years. I here that Sabic stocks a good quality sheet too, but I haven't tried it. With the proliferation of flat bed direct to substrate printing, and CNC routers, dead flat sheets are essential.

Over the year I've never used anything but G2S. It just doesn't make sense to me for the small savings to go with anything that may cause failure.

The quality of MDO is going downhill so even the G2S is failing more quickly.

Definitely use good one side MDO......

for concrete forms (which is what it was designed for)

For signs, good 2 sides.
