I have a problem with my Graphtec CE5000-60 plotter. The last few days when I have it set to cut horizontal it cuts vertical and vice versa. It seems to be 90 degrees off. It seems like it should be a setting that I inadvertently checked or unchecked. Any ideas?

well, if it is a setting on the machine itself, I imagine there aren't that many to go through and check... but otherwise, you might want to tell us what software you are using, because that would be the next place to look.

At a guess, unless you did anything other than hit the on/off switch on the cutter...

The problem lies with a setting in your software.

If your CorelDraw layouts look the same as always, look at the "Cut Master" software. Sorry, I'm not familiar with Cut Master.

Can't you rotate the machine?

I don't know "Cut Master" either, but I know Gerber uses the term "axis swap" which always sounded a bit confusing for me... so if you run across that term... it does what happened to you.

There is a small "landscape, portrait" icon in Cutting master about in the center of the "general" tab window. You may have changed that accidently.

There is indeed a axis swap function in the menu somewhere. We had the same thing happen. Whether that is the culprit I dont know. unfortuneatley I am not near the machine at he moment to dig it back out. The Graphtec folks told us it was there to aid in to allow for print and cut applications so you would not have to completely unroll a series of prints that you wanted to cut out. If you were printing a long run and rolling back onto a take up on the other end it would enable you to start at the end and work toward the beginning.

Thanks for the help guys. There is a rotate function and it was turned on. I turned it off and all is right with the world again. At least until I accidentally switch something else on or off.
