This past week I was in Long Beach to do my "dog and pony show" for Sign Business Magazine.
Thursday evening I had the privilege of being taken out to dinner by Kellie Miller of Coastal Enterprises (makers of Precision Board).
We have been friends for awhile and got to spend time together as we traveled to Dan's workshop back in October. Doug Allan, David Harding, Kellie and I drove from Seattle to Dan's together in a rented van. Another great experience.
Kellie is just a delightful lady to be around and has a contagious laugh. Even though I use another brand of HDU she still allows me to be her friend.
It was just a tremendous event for me to be escorted around a cool Southern California evening by a beautiful blond in her Lexus convertible. Is this a great country or what!
I did find out that she and Grandpa Dan have similiar directional challenges.
Thanks Kellie. I'm already looking forward to next year.

I’ve always been told it takes one to know one (directionally challenged). . . and since you know TWO. . . well, let’s just remember that On-Star BEGGED you not to subscribe to their service for fear of lost profitability!

My HHR has On-Star, but I was with Kellie and she was using her natural born sense of direction along with calling her boy-friend for hints on where we were going.
The ironic part is that we were trying to find a restaurant that had been recommended and once we got there after a tour or Long Beach, the place was closed.
For those of you that know Kellie, the best part of the trip was just listening to her laugh.
Glenn - yep, I'll be there. Hope to meet up with you again.

hahaha, that's funny Raymond! I had a great time with you and thanks for being so patient while I took you on the shortcut route (tour of Long Beach) to the restaurant. ;-)
I had a lot of fun, and I'm also looking forward to next year! I'm glad that you'll be taking extra days, which will give us more time to 'tour' up and down the coast. Don't forget to keep notes on where you want to go. (so I can also be ready.. lol)
Oh, and Bob Gilliland? I'm not sure what untrue stories you've told Raymond, but he made a comment when I ordered a Pacifico!
Take care everyone and thanks again for a great time Raymond, you are a great person and make me laugh! :-) (we'll talk about your HDU later... lol)
Kellie
