Well, I will not go as far into my thoughts with this opening post, because it's 10pm, and I just spent several hours looking at these photos, cropping, rotating & adjusting brightness on them, as well as selecting favorites, naming, sorting & uploading...
I enjoy shooting memories, and I enjoy looking at them. The tasks I've just completed are only enjoyable for the first hour or so, & become somewhat tedious, but worthwhile.
Now that the tedious work is done, I want to show them off. I started an account with Flickr. I think this is an easy way to show them, but I'm not sure. hopefully nobody has to sign in, open accounts or anything else.
I think you can just follow the links & look at my photos. You should also be able to choose "slideshow" from the upper right corner. Once that is going, I think you can go to a "fullscreen" display from an icon in the lower right corner.
If anything doesn't work for anyone, let me know. I used to always set up slide shows as short videos, with music, & post them to youtube! This was easier, but if it doesn't work, I'll make a youtube movie out of them.
The 2 sets of photos I uploaded are HERE and HERE!
As far as posting about the experience... well, it will take a long time to describe all that I got out of the trip. For now, I'll mention that I've been extremely busy since I've been back, and didn't really feel much of a post meet blues... until yesterday! At our 4th of July parade, that I watched a bit of, because I biked down to a coffee shop that was on the parade route, there was a pet adoption bus that was rolling along behind several pet owners walking all sorts of dogs. The bus had loud speakers playing & when they went by me, all of a sudden they started playing "who let the dogs out"...
...well, that did it... instant walldog meet blues! Bill would let out a chant every now & then... and I noticed that my host Lucia, the Presbyterian minister, even switched her cellphone ringtone to "who let the dogs out" for the weekend...
Anyway, I know a lot of folks got their pics out right away, so these are mostly repeats of other similar photos, but I am happy to have them & welcome anyone to take a look!

Thank you Doug, you did a great job of capturing the meet. When you are busy working on murals you never get to see all that is going on around you. We are so lucky to have made this one, it will stand out as one of the big important ones. Bill

Just in case anybody missed it, Doug wasn't there just for for percussion and coffee - we stuck a brush in his hand and made him sweat with us too:

Doug, Thanks for the jams and hanging with us for a while. My wife said, "Maybe we should go to Hawaii for our anniversary and see your nephew (who is a Captain in the Air Force there) and your sign buddy, Doug."
Maybe then I will get fresh pineapple instead of coffee!
Great pics by the way. Thanks for sharing.
Sign-cerely, Steve the piano man.

looking forward to it Jon... I love to travel, but I've done enough that I don't dwell on any long list of must-see places...
but Australia is on my very short list. The fact that there is a similar climate & beach lifestyle available in parts of Australia, and the lack of a language barrier makes it seem like all the thrill of a huge cultural experience, without the trauma of any major culture shock.
I could be wrong of course... and even though you have nice beaches... I'm sure I'd want to visit more remote regions... but those few comments above are the small bit of justification I have created for myself to help keep your country on my short list & to hopefully help me get there some day!
