Bad news, pressure, stress, failure.... it's everywhere and it can really knock a person down if you let it.
I just read something that reinforced my notion that there IS hope, and that if you are consistent, persistent and keep your mind and motivation on the goal... you can succeed, even if you fail along the way.
Failure is only permanent if you let it reside within your being - making it your personal mission-statement. Instead, maybe failure should be looked upon as a dirty elbow. Yeah, the dirt is there, but it isn't permanent. A little effort along with the aid of soap and a scrub brush, and it can be removed.
Ok.. enough of my thoughts... now for the trivia question 'Who Said This?" It will probably be quickly obvious to most, but is telling none the less:
“I have missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game’s winning shot…and missed. I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
So, what failure of an athlete said this??

One of my favorite quotes fits nicely within this topic and helps me keep my goals in mind..."To succeed, you must sacrifice the things you want now for the things you want most."
