How many in here, if any. suffer from planters fasciitis... I do and it really has been affecting me now for 10 years. I used to be able to stand on my feet for hours and hours and now have to get off of them after just a couple, I have been taking advil, but I have to curb that after a few little ulcers showed up in my stomach. To tell you the truth it's a little embarassing, I'm actually in pretty good shape I go to the gym 3 times a week, on the cross trainer for 30 minutes and also the treadmill.. but when it come to walking a Golf Course it's murder, that's the embarrasing part... it also affects stamina for Airbrushing and what not... Any Snake oil out there that people might use.. Yes I thought about the WD 40. LOL

I have the same problem. I got some silicone gel heel inserts from a company called Footsmart that help. I also do about 30 reps of circular motion with my feet before I get out of bed to loosen things up.
Americans use WD-40. Greeks use Windex. Either will leave "incompatible residues" which will require Rapid Products to fix.

I had a heel spur and after three silicone or cortizone shots it still was painful. The only relief was to have it removed. Bill

I can sympathize, Neil. I have had bouts with Achilles Tendonitis. Where your achilles tendon attaches to the heel bone becomes inflamed and is very painful....almost too much to walk. Then it goes away. A week or so later, it comes back.
Where does this stuff come from?

Yes Terry I have been using orthotics for years, I have to get them again, the first time I git them they seemd to work, but then the pain came back, I went to another place, a customer, and they never did any good at all, $350 a pop.. but that's a small cost for comfort if they work.

I too suffered through plantar f. for many years. Finally followed the path Emmet Smith took and bought the insterts from the Good Feet store. Expensive ($500) but after 3 weeks, no pain. Werked 'fer me.
By the way, was a member here many moons ago, glad to be back.

I suffered from it as well a few years back and got rid of it with this program:
-Every evening after work I iced the sore spot for about 20-30 minutes, rested it for about 15 minutes and repeated until bedtime.
-Take a towel and, holding one end in each hand, loop it over the toes of the affected foot and gently pull your toes toward your kneecap for a gentle stretch. Hold for about a minute or so and repeat a half dozen times.
-This is most important: good fitting shoes that also give cushioning on concrete floors.
Ten years! I feel for you, buddy. Good luck!

I just got back from walking the golf course, and I'm in so much pain, I do stretch the feet, my lovely wife massages them and she pushes back on the toes, that part feels great. I'm thinking of getting a pair of these... some people swear by them. Anyone try these yet?
