Great video Peewee!!!

Yer a pretty talented dude to be able to do all that AND record it while you are doing it!!! [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

I love the "Real fire" look that Mike Lavalee started, but I still like the traditional flame work on older vehicles. Seems to fit somehow.

That's a great Presentation Pee Wee, it actually brings back fond memories when I did striping flames and letering using the exact same Principles, you have to AirBrush the Highlights while the paint is still wet so that it "Welds" itself into the paint as you say, if the paint dries, then it will wipe right off like the overspray. I know I just repeated what you said.lol

Great stuff Peewee. I've been using some of your tips from a couple months ago to practice my striping. I also appreciate you turning me on to Saral paper in this video, that looks like a great alternative to pouncing!

Keep 'em coming!

Sean, I rarely pounce anything (too messy) But Wall jobs and larger jobs it's a must.. Saral paper is a real nice alternative.

I just ordered a box of Saral paper from TCP Global. I'm working on a sign for an antique company right now that has a lot of detailed filligree, and this stuff looks like the perfect way to lay it out.

PeeWee, the flames look great! I'm interested in what "budget" price this can be sold for.

$600 but that included a jump in the pool while the paint dried. So I think I did good. [Smile]

LOL! Love the credits!

Thanks for putting that together. Great to see your process. Does the wider part of the flame smooth out after the brush stroke(s) or does it retain a little texture? Looked pretty sweet to me.

PS - More please. I happen to like geeks. [Big Grin]

It does retain some but very few brush marks. I use Oneshot high temp reducer (always) but that helps quite a bit. But from A couple feet they aren't visible. The clients are always happy with the results and get the most bang for their buck. I inform them I can do the same job Basecoat clearcoat would run $12-1500.00 . Since I detest the smell and interaction with BC / Cc I really enjoy these and they pay well..

Great, thanks for the info! Always good to have an alternative method for the client to choose from, especially in this economy. Might do up a test panel myself for display!

Awww, come on Peewee, there is nothing like walking out of a spray booth high as a kite (hey, you like kites) because you figured you didn't have to wear a mask for this one . . .
