Ok it is 10:00 and the reception should be pretty much all in a very bubbly mood about now.
Don't know how to shake Ben's hand and have a dance with the new bride on here yet, (took me long enough to just figure out how to post pics )
Enjoy a wonderful life together.

The wedding went really well, and the decorations were beautiful. The wedding party looked great, especially the guys(includung Bill) in thier tuxes with Converse high tops.
Ben and Ashley are both great people, and make a beautiful couple that I am honored to call friends.

My pictures were all pretty informal since after all we were a bit busy and I we had an awesome photographer getting the good shots. I just snapped a few when I could. It was an AWESOME wedding though! We had such a blast! LOTS OF FUN! Here is the bride and groom after the garter and bouquet toss.
Our oldest son Bill and the cutest grandson ever, Alexander. He was ring bearer and when the flower girl broke into tears and wouldn't go down the aisle, Alexander RAN to his dad in the front of the church. Hey, they are three! They were so cute!!
Ben has been in several weddings and HATES tuxedo shoes. SO all the groomsmen, dads and ushers all wore matching Converse All stars. And even I got to wear my pair to the reception. (I had to be able to be ready to dance properly, you know....)

Oh, and I should mention Joe was also very memorable! First there was the Helium ballon song, serenading the groomsmen who were waiting before the wedding! What a hoot! And then he gave a best man toast that several people said brought tears to their eyes, (including his Mom and Dad). WHAT A GREAT weekend to celebrate with all our family and friends! AAAHHHHH!

Man - I haven't wore a pair of Chuck Taylor's since the eighth grade...back in the 70's.
Glad to see those shoes along with 'the tuck' (tucking shirts into the pants) are making a comeback. Now, if only manly 70's chest hair would make a comeback...

The nice thing about the shoes are, not only were they more comfortable, they were $20 less then the rental tux shoes, plus we get to keep them.

Bobby, they are in Gatlinburg, TN. Don Hulsey says Jake Snow is in that area? I guess I better not tell you where...but it's an awesome little cabin overlooking the mountains, with a deck with a hot tub and a porch swing. I bet they are having a great time!!

I've seen it all. Sneakers for a groom and his wedding party. I have heard of sneaker net but never sneaker wed. Leave it to the Diaz's to come up with a creative twist to a wedding.
Wait until you see what shoes I am wearing to the Pontiac Meet. Betty bought me shoes just like my Mother made me wear when I was 3.
Won't be as cool as the sneakers but at least I feel young again. Jack

Hey Joe - I can remember my mom laying a guilt trip on us because we "had" to have Converse All-Stars back in the 70's. They were thee elite shoe to own at the time...and it wasn't easy getting the parents to spring - I believe it was - $12 for a pair!!
I just googled Converse all stars...they sold approx 750 million pairs in 144 countries. Wow!

You know I spent most of the time at the wedding watching Bill and Jane's face. It is so inspiring to watch the love that they have for all of their children in their faces. Of course that love is returned by their children. They have a great family. Ben and Ashley are special people.
