Good for you!! I believe in a Jeffersonian style govt. Less is better.Govt. doesn't seem to run it's business as though it's a business. ... off my soapbox.

first car I "modified" was a 61 Sunbeam alpine. heard they put v-8's in em and I was hooked. put a 302 out of a Torino in it. Then realized I had to mock up a jig for the front crossmember and change it to rack 'n' pinion. tigers had duel 5.5 gal tanks in the fenders.my 61 had an 11 gal. main tank so I put a crossover pipe to it so it had 22 gallons and a lil more traction .Belonged to CAT for a while and I put louvers in the front fenders tied into an air dam which cooled it and looked cool.put a narrowed 8" ford rear end in. spent way too much money but the thing was a bat outta hell. Gotta look for pics as I am disorganised.Had a good trip to Illinois and won the boy scout class with my bud Lou in his TVR? Griffith he found in a barn.back in 82. We needed ID #s so i made them out of contact paper. he was an engineer at 3_M and told me I had something there. If only I had come up with a plotter???

Had the original Tiger, eh, Darcy? Those were cool little cars. Tight fit for the engine; friend of mine had one. You had to remove a 'plug' in the firewall area, above the gas pedal, to change the rear spark plugs on the driver side. Ahh, the fun of sports cars.
I wonder if the gov'mint will buy me a couple of those, and maybe a Cobra, a 427 Vette, and......

Darcy..my bother-in-law had a Sunbeam Tiger.
I have driven and ridden in many high speed vehicles.
That TIGER was the scariest and fastest vehicle I have driven!!!!
Wish I had one right now!!!
