Each time I see Phoebe she's doing something new. The other day she was busy drawing, as she often is. She had an old spirograph set on her drawing table which she had found in the back the toy cupboard. She took a round piece out of the package and traced a circle on the paper, then set aside the pattern and started to draw. Rapidly, an amazing face formed inside the circle and then hair, ears and other dtails were quickly added. When the drawing was finished she fetched the scotch tape and hung it alongside the many other works of art already on display.
I asked incredulously (as I always do) where she had learned to draw so well... She beamed at me and her matter of fact answer didn't surprise me... "Nowhere. I just figured it out!"
She told the truth. While we certainly encourage her to draw, and help her on occasion, the rest is up to her. Little Phoebe demonstrates a passion to learn and practice her craft, even at the tender age of four. Even in the beginning stages she is amazing. We are determined to help her on the exciting journey as she continues to figure it out herself!

Beautiful picture Phoebe! Yes it's amazing watching the little ones draw. I sit there with my 2 1/2 year old daughter as we draw together on her table set and wonder where she gets her ideas. They are such wonderful lessons in life. I wouldn't know what I do without her! Always putting a smile on my face!
