It use to be when I'd click on a poster's name within a post on the bb, the thread would target that chosen poster. Now the post starts at the one who originated the post, not whom I've chosen.
Seems abit coincidental as that change occured when I ventured into another laptop. Is this a tweek I can fix on my end of things, or did the thread memory disappear on the bb level?

Donna, I don't quiiite understand exactly what you're describing in the first paragraph. What do you mean by "click on a poster's name within a post on the bb"? Here's how it works for me... always has and still does...
If I click on the person's name, (above their avatar) it takes me to that person's profile page. If I click on the 'Posts: 4635' part of your post, it takes me to the last 50 posts you've made...

When you go to the main bb, it lists topic, topic starter, replies, last post. If you click on the person under last post, you'd normally get the last post made. Now you get the topic starter (FIRST post made), making you have to scroll waaaay down to find the last post made on that topic.
It must be a setting on this laptop as per Jamie's comment. Thanks!

Donna, two thoughts. First i believe you are correct that it is a setting within vista, and it might be related to setting to prohibit "pop-ups" because when I click the last posters name, from where you referred to, the first thing that happens is my screen changes to the top of the thread for half a second... THEN the screen jumps to the last post... so it is sort of like a pop-up happening there, without a second keystroke command from you, and it's that second reaction that vista is interfering with. I just thought I'd mention that in case it helps you recognize some settings to play around with if you go looking.
The second thing is a temporary band-aid solution that might assist in the scrolling situation you hoped to avoid. Up in the top left corner, below the Letterville logo, do you see a "jump to new posts" link? If that works, it may assist you in return visits to a thread, though not on a first visit.
