Hey Folks, It's been awhile, I lurk in here from time to time but not as much as I used to.
My fingers are worn from going through font navigator and looking at about 2000 fonts then I remembered. I know that this font type was one I got from some freebie site but since I said to myself, "I'll never have to use such an ugly font" I dumped it. no offense to anyone who uses it daily and thinks it's the Bee's Knee's in type style (no not you OP!)
so does anyone know where I get it, and folks, this can't be a font that you have to pay money to use, surely the opposite should be the way

I'd call it an ornamental fishtail font- I was going to digitise or create a nicer version of it, one day... It may masquerade as something like tuscan, also. I have not seen it before as a computer font.

Ben uses www.identifont.com He says it doesn't always work, but it gets you in the neighborhood.
AND "Miles for Ireland", are you planning to come to the walldog meet this year? I hear they are planning fireworks, just in honor of you!!

I should have also posted my closest versions which are the same as your suggestions. I was just hoping not to have to digitize it, but you win some and then you don't!
Jane, I am afraid someone else will have the honor of lighting those fireworks up. Though I do have a walldoggin' job coming up before the end of march in which the learning I did Learn at them past 2 events will be put to the test. BUT not on Brick! Amen!
Ireland's recession is huge and happening so fast that the country is in shock, the bubble has burst and though we were warned well before, years before, our leaders thought that we could beat the odds, We had double the european average employed in construction, bad indicator but ignored. so no walldogging trips for a while.

Hiya Miles, Dirk's partner Sonia here. Font is "Quentin" or it's very similar anyway. I don't know how to upload anything here (new to letterheads) but email me on farsouthdesign@bigpond.com and I can send it to you.
