I just got a mailing from Havel's Inc. in Cincinnati Ohio. They are selling plotter blades Gerber 30, 45, 60 degree for $9.50 each
Gerber, roland, ioline, mimaki, anagraph, graphtec summa and Mutoh blades for $13.50.
Are they any good? Seems like 1/3 of the price I pay.
Has anybody dealt with them?
(I am spoiled by my Graphtec blades- they keep cutting and cutting- last forever, My Gerber blades don't last long at all)

Diane

I have never used Havel blades before, but I've never heard anything bad about them. On the other hand, I have tried blades from several different suppliers. A few have been so so blades, some have been good, but no matter what, I've always gotten the longest life out of Roland original equipment blades. They do cost more but are worth it. I can't say anything about other oem blades as I've only owned Roland plotters.

If Havels blades are of the same quality as a Roland brand blade, I would definitely try them.

I have used Havel's for years. Starting with the 4B through an Anagraph and now Roland Blades for both my Vinyl Express machines. Great stuff.

I highly recommend Clean Cut Blades. The quality is top notch, they seem to last forever and the customer service is great. If you have any questions, Ross is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

I've bought X-acto type blades from Havel's for years. Haven't tried their plotter blades yet.

I say clean cut too. They last forever. I'm not so sure that's good for Ross, but it's good for the end user. [Smile]

I've often wondered, why don't they make them out of carbide steel? Seems they would last a whole lot longer.

Are any of them made of that?

Thank you everyone. I will probably try both companies, if they both have the swivel blades.
Letterville is such a wonderful place.

I have only used Havels since 1995- never had any issues. Don't know about any other suppliers- once I find someone who offers a good product, good service and good price I try to stay with them as long as I can. I'm sure there are other good companies out there as well.

I lost my laser vellum supplier at the first of the year- I had bought from them since 1992 exclusively! [Frown]
