This is your chance to bring in some of those UNFINISHED PROJECTS you started at previous Letterhead meets and Gitter-done! (Special kudos and thanks to Bruce Bowers for the art below)
Here are the details (I will add more as they unfold.):
1. WHO - Up to about 25 Letterheads
2. WHAT - A NO FRILLS meet where participants bring their project and the materials needed to complete their project.
3. WHEN - Saturday and Sunday March 14 & 15, 2009, 9 AM to Midnight on Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM on Sunday.
4. WHERE - Sign Station, 560 W. Main St., Anoka, MN 55303 763-753-4633, fax 763-390-7932, email barbara@signstation.com
5. WHY - Because A) if you are like me, you have SEVERAL projects sitting around that you started at a Letterhead meet, but never got finished. B) You can't really spare the time or cash to travel very far for a Letterheads meet this winter. C) You could really use a Letterhead infusion about now!
6. COST - No Charge for this meet. No frills either. We will pass the hat and order in, or go out to a local restaurant to eat. I'll be a good hostess and keep the coffee pot on and we can all chip in to keep the beverage cooler filled. BRING YOUR OWN Gold Leaf, or anything you need in larger quantities. I do have gold on hand and if you just need a small amount we can negotiate on the fly
7. RSVP IS REQUIRED. Just let us know on this forum if you are coming, or for security sake you may email or call me with your RSVP. I will keep updating the list until we get to 25 attendees!

Barb has a great space to work in. The place is easy to get to. There is plenty of places to stay. The hostess is one awesome chick, besides!

I'm Bummed too Bruce. But I really needed to work this around Mark Baty's schedule. We've been talking about this meet for AT LEAST a decade. In fact, some of the UNFINISHED PROJECTS I have are that old and older! Thanks again for your art. U R da MAN!

Sounds like great fun, we have had a couple local unfinished meets with great success and fun too. Great Plan my dear, have fun and post photos for those of us who connot make it.

Actually, Jon, Gold and Glass is prolly what there will be a LOT of. We can also mess around with carving and woody/foamy stuff. I'm going to have my ShopSmith moved to this location by then. Right now it is still at the house, but we will have more fun with it here ;-)

C'mon people - Can't ANYONE afford to travel these days? This is definately a no frills meet. No Charge to come in the door. (I'll provide all the coffee and toilet paper - you just bring what you need for YOUR UNFINISHED PROJECT!) This weekend I am going to post some pictures of all the projects I have laying around that are unfinished. There are so many I can prolly SHARE some if you don't have one of your own! I even have some glass pieces from Susie and David Butler from the 1992 or 1993 meet in Waukee Iowa!

I would stop by... but I have a weight pull weekend with Toby, in Shakopee by Canterbury. Will probably stay at my friend's place in Waterville... totally opposite side of the cities from your place!
If something comes up and I don't stay with her, maybe I will swing by after the pull on Saturday on my way home, but will have all three dogs with me.

I have a wedding shower for the soon-to-be daughter-in-law next weekend. Sounds like you will have some great folks there though. Party on! And besides, we don't have anything that is unfinished!

With deepest regrets I have to cancel our meet this weekend.
I just got a call from Jeanne Baty, and Mark has been poorly this week and the doc doesn't want him to travel until after his oncologist visit next week. So they had to cancel. Then I talked to Nancy Bennett, and she and Dan are on their way back from Virginia where their 2 month old granddaughter was hospitalized. So they can't turn right around and come to Minnesota at this time. That leaves Bruce, the Schillings and our employees, and a handful of Minnesota "dropins". If anyone would like to come by for a few hours on Saturday, let us know. Maybe we can just have some good chat and lunch or something!
