I already deleted one I got yesterday. These guys might seem a little more convincing if they at least asked for a layout. They don't ever seem to care at all what it looks like which kind of sends up a red flag.

I had the e-mails from the pastor sent to me also.I played along, got the guy to call and give me his card number, sounded like a telemarketing station in india but it was a U.S. number. Told the guy I would call him back after the card was approved. Called my police station told them of the scam. They looked over the emails after I told them of all the letterhead stories on these e-mails. So they called the guy acted as if they were me, told them that their credit card number didn't work (didn't run the card) so they wanted to use another and then another. Police told them the jig was up they went back and forth about how it wasn't a scam and the indian guy hung up. Five minutes later get another call saying we were disconnted and they were sorry. Wanted to use another card number. So I went next door were the cop had stopped to talk to someone and told him he was on the phone again (now officer is ticked). He gets on the phone tells the guy he's knows were he is and will have the local police in I think Indiana look into him. Officer tells him not to call or E-mail agian and I haven't recieved another solicitation from them so I think if enough of us did this instead of deleting the e-mail they might stop. I gotta say it was fun hassling the guy anyways.

The banners will be $1,500 EACH. The order will not be put into production until I have exhausted your supply of stolen credit card numbers, by reporting each one to the police and receive payment in cash in person.
Please call the number below to set up an appointment to bring me cash in person. NO, I will not run your stolen credit card numbers, NO I will not be a party to your thievery, NO I will not ship them through some fake shipping company you want me to prepay with the money from the stolen credit cards.

I just got one from the FBI in Honolulu informing me of an inheritance where I can remove $1500 a day from any ATM in the world. Another Nigerian scam. I laughed because they include a link to the real FBI web site and just a couple clicks revealed the exact scam that these sleeze balls were trying to run. The spelling and grammar was as usual atrocious.

I have been accepting Visa/mastercharge for about 1 year. I had a telephone call from somea man saying it was visa calling and they want to stop by tomorrow at 2pm to make sure that I am not being overcharged on my visa fees. I told him I couldn't gurarentee I'd be available and I know I am not being over charged. He was still insistent- so I hung up.

As a retired manager with Canada Post I have seen it all. The sad part is that these scum bags know the postal rules and regulations and how to exploit them and the people who they target. Through the diligence of my postal carriers and our Secutity and Investigations branch we intercepted over 35 credit cards in one operation which had been fraudulently obtained through identilty theft. Each card had an opening balance of between $2,500 and $5,000. That's a fair wack of coin!! Word of advice worth repeating - shred everything and if it sounds too good to be true - it is!! And Chris...you have to come out of your shell and tell them exactly what you think!

Dear Friend, As you read this, I don't want you to feel sorry for me, because, I believe everyone will die someday. We have recently been hit with phone scams here in our area in Texas. Wanting to lower your credit card rates and asking for your credit card number and security code and last four digits of the social security number. Our banks are reissuing our credit cards because of it. Bill

I had the weirdest dream last night... I remember thinking in my dream that this scam had completely gotten out of hand...
But anyway, in my dream I was approached by 2 men. They asked if I was Jon Jantz and I said 'yes', so they wanted to sit down and talk to me. There was a bench (straight bench, no arm-rests) nearby so they sat down on it and I just stood in front of them.
They went into a long story about how they were from Japan, and the one guy was my long-lost uncle and the other was his attorney. He was dying of cancer and needed to transfer his wealth over to a relative, and since I was his nephew, I was the one. He had around 10 million dollars he was going to leave to me.
Man, I was getting excited until it hit me like a ton of bricks.... this sounds exactly like one of those internet scams. Besides, they were totally Japanese looking, and I'd never heard about us ever having any Oriental in our blood... Hmmmmmmmm.....
I got furious but played along a little further. Sure enough, they got into the specifics and I could tell it was a scam. Finally I blew up and just ran and bull-tackled the one guy right off the bench and started beating the crap out of him. The other dude pulled me off, and they took off running. I watched them go feeling very good about myself.....
I haven't woken up Monica yet to see if she's all black and blue....

I got a similar one a few minutes ago... from a Mr. Stifler.... a different one from the guy in American Pie, I guess... I wish we could find out where this scammer is, and then get a grant from the government for us to make about 300 banners a piece and ship them all to this dude's house. Three 18-wheelers backing up and chucking about 10,000 banners out on his yard would be awesome.
