Hi, can anyone help?
I have been printing with a SolJet SC500 for the past 6 years, without any major problems, but recently my printed output has started growing
lengthwise. The width of the print stays accurite,
but lengthwise it grows about .5 inch every 24 inches. I design in Corel X3 and transfer via a
memory stick to another computer where the file is
exported and printed with Roland colorchoice. I have
followed this procedure for last 6 years without a problem. Print quality is excellent, just too long, help! Regards Tim Barker

Hiya Tim,
Although it could be a software issue, I'm leaning towards either the media or the printer.

But, before we go there, perhaps you accidentally changed the export settings in Corel? You may want to check and make sure the "maintain aspect ratio" is checked during the export process.

Anyway, does this happen with other media? Or is it just one specific roll? Sometimes you can get a bad roll of media that slips through the pinch rollers. Other printer related issues could be an electrical surge could have thrown the calibration out of whack and you may need to recalibrate. Or, it could just be dirty pinch rollers.

Beyond that, you're on your own. If my suggestions don't work, maybe someone else can chime in.

Havin' fun,

Checkers

Thanks for your quick reply Checkers, the calibration did seem to be off, after correction I have got the
Growth down to about one millimetre to the foot. I
Will be printing a larger file tomorrow, and I will check again. Once again Many thanks
