Here we are as about north as you can get, well Mike is a lot further north, but anyway this past weekend I spent a couple of hours out on my Motorcycle... it was 18 degrees celcius Sat. about 65 degrees for our american freinds. There's no snow to be seen anywher, no frost, it's like May weather... at least On Saturday it was. Sun the Temp dropped to 0degrees, freezing cold... and Today it's back up to 14 degrees around 58 for the American... I feel like going for another Ride... Is it that Crazy where you are?
Sorry to be rubb'n your noses in it, for all the rest of Canada,, but it's pretty balmy here.

Neil, the weather is very strange here as well, but not in a good way. It's been warm but wet. Then it dumped a massive amount of snow.. two days later it was summer again. So a couple weeks back I walk outta my house (in my shorts and T-shirt) to plug in the xmas lights, and I almost froze to death! It said -2 degrees, but they forgot to say -400 with the wind! (and I'm from Labrador, so I know what cold means). The next day I get up for the long drive to work and bundle up, walk out side..... +12!!! Perfect flu weather... I hate it... give me some cold weather so I can put on a jacket and enjoy it... not sit in my house looking at the rain. The cold weather is around the corner, but I could have used it a while ago. I live in Canada, I don't want **** warm weather all year. I know what you're thinking.... so call me a "hoser eh!"

Yep, crazy here too, but it has nothing to do with global warming We had a record high of 60°+ yesterday. Today, we may see the mid 30's and we're under a winter weather advisory for freezing rain, snow and ice. It's not gonna be a pretty ride home for most of the area.

It was in the low 30s here over night which is downright COLD for California. I had to bring in all of my potted flowers and herbs so they didn't freeze. The next town over is MUCH higher in elevation as it leads up to Lake Tahoe and they could get snow.
Right now it's in the 40s and DUMPING RAIN which is fantastic because we really need the water.

We get free air conditioning here, just open the door! We had a nasty cold snap for a couple of days, but it's a bit better today. With the wind chill it's been down to -40C, which for those of you that don't know the math is the same as -40F. While not an unusual temp for December, it's a little cold for my liking. We plug the vehicles in so they will start and stay indoors and off the roads as much as possible.

We are currently having white out conditions here on in Nanaimo, Vancouver Island....we had almost a foot of snow on Sunday (20 minutes away they had over 18 inches) but it was real powdery (not our usual snow), then the temperatures dipped to -12...very cold for here...now we have an additonal 6 inches of new white snow so far today...the wetter, heavier snow that we are used to here in Nanaimo and that makes for terrible driving conditions. Having said that, we don't usually get this much snow all at once. I hope they covered the Palm trees downtown. Be safe and warm.

So much for a predicted mild winter here. It was -22 this morning. The last couple days we had killer wind chills so no school. I've got a frozen pipe to deal with. We only have a few inches of snow on the ground. It's not supposed to get above middle teens for highs through Christmas.

Needles to say, that's the norm up here in the North Country, the only place where the forecasters can be wrong half of the time and not get fired.
The ice storm last week would certainly rank in the "crazy" category. 9 days later, we still have hundreds of people without power and some aren't too happy about it. There have been incidents where line crews have been yelled at, run off of roads and blocked into neighborhoods by disgruntled people still in the dark. Last night's snow only helped to slow them down more and we're supposed to be getting snow almost every day until New Years.
I don't know if that qualifies as "crazy", but the timing of all of these storms around the holidays sure isn't making for a whole lot of cheer. A White Christmas is one thing. Getting buried when the power's out isn't quite as festive.
