In 1953 I bought my first car (to look at) a 1929 model A'. Drove around the orchards though.
Happy Birthday David...

Thank you all for the...well...words...I was going to say "kind words" but some of them don't qualify...you know when I was a young man I thought 55 was old and now that I am 55...dang...it is kinda old after all. I didn't enjoy being 54 very much however 53 was really kind of cool because I was born in 53 so it was just unique you know. And...I kind of liked being 49 because I liked saying something like "well I am almost 50 after all" when ever I would forget something or come in second in the olympics. At anyrate...I think 55 will be okay...after all 5's are interesting to draw...I like them way more than 8's or 4's...4's are tough for me to make look good....so...we all hopefully get to have at least one birthday a year and I am happy to have one this year even though there are very few days left in this year to enjoy it...but a bunch more next year... well...in closeing...I'd just like to say..."Thanks"...don't re-read these ramblings because believe me it will only get worse...

My kids are always talking about that 50 year old, he looks old etc, I turn 50 in a couple of months not sure how I feel about that, the last 25 years seem to have gone abit fast.
Still 55's not that bad as it diesn't seem that far away, enjoy yourself, as I'm sure you do.
