I was just thinking of you and wondering what you were doing. Your Fire House meet was the first one that Garry and I ever went to and we were not disappointed. I hope all is fine and tell us what you are doing now.

Lately I have been Hiding in Bloomington, In...
Let's see, where to start??? First I guess, Penny and the kids are doing great. Stephen graduates HS in the spring, and Megan starts HS next fall.
As for where I have been, for the last three years I have been busy with two things(Besides family). First I went back to school part time at a local community college and then transferred last year to our local university. (USI) After a year there I decided to apply to Indiana University. This had always been a dream as my Dad and brother both went there, and I grew up on IU. Well, they went and accepted me and I now live in Bloomington to go to school and come home most weekends. To top it off, I live in a dorm... I am the oldest resident and have been given the nick name of "Papa Bear." The other students have been great and really accepted me though.
I am studying English-Creative Writing/Screenwriting and I hope to be a writer/professor when I grow up. I have had a few things published in school journals and such, but nothing major yet. It is hard being away from Penny and the kids so much, but we are adjusting well and hopefully it will be worth it. I am getting such a great education and exposure to great professors at IU.
The other thing I have been doing is umpiring slow pitch and fast pitch softball. I spend most of my weekends from April through October traveling the mid-west at tournaments to help pay for school. During the week I do local Parks and Rec. games. I am going to try to work in some High school games this coming year.
Boy, this turned out to be longer than planned, but I guess I had been away longer than I had planned as well. So, if you get to Bloomington, In., stop and say "hi" or if you have a softball tournament in your area, look close there may be a former sign guy behind the plate trying to tell if the pitchers are "painting the plate."
Take Care and I hope all have a Happy Holiday Season!!!!
