If you live near Southern California, you may have heard about the arrest of some members of the Mogols Motorcyle Club/Gang. Well, the Courts granted an injuction that prohibits Mongols or their frineds to wear, sell or distribute their mongol logo. You know, the Mongolian warrior wearing sunglasses. Seems kinda weird, bikers without their names or ? on their little leather jackets. Ahhh poor babies. So does that mean their logo is up for grabs? Wheres that lawyer for Hershey when you need him.

I saw some of the Moguls at Biketoberfest, last year in Daytona. I was not impressed. I don't need a bunch of s#it-asses threatening everybody.

If they want to be mobile, why don't they join the army?

I am not going to support assholism. There are plenty of ways to work out aggression, besides being mean, onery, and ugly.

BTW....Alicia you are still so talented. You are always #1 in my book, work-wise. Don't worry about other people. That's why we went to Lodi !

Regards, Jeff

The court ruling will be overturned on First Amendment grounds. I'm surprised the judge would even entertain the idea.

good try judge. But it won't last.. If Larry Flynt can do what he does then the mongols ban will never last under a challenge.

Read that article more carefully guys...original injunction was to halt the sale or distribution.........you can bet that was because they were able to link the sale of the stuff to the funding of a criminal enterprise across state lines, then under RICO they have teeth and of course it will be appealed but it wont necessarily be a slam dunk. If you read the rest,it doesnt say anywhere that they cant wear their colors or symbols or whatever, only that when presented with a copy of the court order they have to surrender any/all items with the trademark, which leads me to believe they got a rule bc they presented a good enuff argument to a judge that the stuff funds a criminal enterprise and they use it to promote a criminal enterprise. Govt went after the latin kings in a similar way and a couple of other biker groups a simliar way. More importantly its a way of breaking, demoralizing and taking away their resources as well as giving a huge probable cause point for anyone seen with the mark displayed. That atty can say all he wants about one for the record books, its far from the first time things linked to the promotion of criminal activity have been seized. There have also been federal apellate rulings backing the ban in some places of confederate flags and other 'percieved symbols of hate" on clothing,so they can take that avenue too. Mostly what this will do is make a bunch of lawyers money.

What about their tattoos?

I know that some people even sell ad space on their bodies. Or what if you have a Mickey, will Disney's lawyers go after you?
