Personally, I was hoping for more meaningful/robust features than what they have listed. I'll probably wait a while til they release the x.01 version that addresses what bugs normally accompany a new Illy release.
Thought you might be interested to read up on what the new version has implemented.

It's about time they added some interactive controls like the on-object gradients and such, pretty cool! The multiple artboards could be handy when you have multiple layouts of similar designs for a client's sign package, just makes things more efficient.
I'm using the CS version still so Illy CS4 could actually be a worthy upgrade, Photoshop on the otherhand, don't think so.

The ONLY thing I enjoyed better in CorelDRAW was not having to use Quark or InDesign to make a multi page PDF. Adding a Multi Artboard feature to Illy CS4 was the only thing I was waiting for. This will make multiple PDFs much faster to create. Hey todd, if you get this program before I do, let us know how it's working. Thanks for letting us know about this.

BUMMER. I just purchased CS3...the only reason I use it, is to open files some of my customers send me. We've used Flexi Pro for so long that we seldom need anything else. I'm sure the Adobe products are very powerful and sophisticated...but haven't invested the time or brain cells to learn it. Oh well, the upgrade should be a lot cheaper this time.

There is special upgrade pricing, which lasts until February 2009, so don't think longer than that! Also, Tony, if you just bought your CS3, I believe they will give you the upgrade for FREE! Go to the Adobe site and check it out if your version qualifies. Casey Yonemura, who builds the Signburst computers that you may have seen advertized, is currently evaluating CS4 and reviewing it on another board. I'll see if I can report to you his findings shortly. I think his initial impression is that it is "blazing fast"

That's happened to me. I think it was even Adobe Illustrator. I was within 30-60days. Sent the latest upgrade with no hassel.
