I received a sad e-mail from John Deaton today.
John's father "Junior" passed away this morning and he has asked that all his letterhead friends pray for him and his family.
If you all remember back in April John made a post about having to take his Dad in for emergency surgery for a ruptured appendix at that time they found a tumor that turned out to be cancer.
John I'm sure that your father has left behind a thousand moments that will live in your heart forever.
Please know that at this difficult time you are in our thoughts and prayers.

You have my heartfelt sympathy, John. Not a day goes by that I don't think of my mother and I lost her almost fourteen years ago. Mom and Dad are Mom and Dad--they made us who we are and will always be a part of us.

John, I lost both my parents before I could show them that I made something of my life.

Each time I hear of someone losing a dad it makes me appreciate my dad more for I know he won't be around forever. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this sad time John!

My Dad was also my buddy. We worked together, and also played together once I was old enough to allow that to happen. From what I have read in your posts, you and your Dad had a similar relationship. I think about my parents every day, but mostly in fond memories.

Oh John, I'm so sorry to have to read this, my deepest sympathy to you and yours today, Even though I'm not an overly religious guy, I'm sure his spirit is looking down on you with a smile, and I'm sure that's what he'd want from you, a smile everytime you think of him.
