Windows installer keeps trying to run on my laptop. Is there any way to make it stop? [Frown]

its on XP?
if so there is a utility to fix the installer . Down it from microsoft.

Try: "Start\Control Panel\Automatic Updates"
Once you find that folder, open it & select: "Turn off Automatic Updates". See if that helps.
