I noticed that EnRoute is now a merchant here in Letterville. Welcome!
As many here know I've used this software since purchasing our router almost 3 years ago. I've used the software to create all the projects I've shown here and in SignCraft.
They have just released EnRoute 4 and its the best out there for 3D routing - no matter what brand CNC machine you may use.
The new version of the software features parametric textures as well as the fastest rendering engine and tool pathing software of any I've seen. What you can do in the software is only limited by one's imagination!
I have yet to full explore its capabilities but I'm trying very hard daily in Yarrow...
Welcome to Letterville!

Yikes! You beat us to it Dan! Barb just put it on The Merchant Page late last night. We had hoped to welcome EnRoute personally, but had to make an unexpected trip to the hospital in London, Ont. today. Thanks for filling in!
We're delighted you guys are checking out our Letterville Merchants on a regular basis. It's sometimes a real challenge to educate potential advertisers on the value of a website dedicated to Letterheads.
Some still have the idea that most Letterheads are still brush and paint only. In reality, it was Letterhead People that first embraced the new technologies that emerged during the 80s. That includes us. We were there!
Letterheads are committed to preserving the best of our past and learning the new technologies together. I've been very fortunate to visit a great many Letterhead shops in the past 30 years. There is still lots of paint and brushes, but all sorts are also using the latest toys to increase production and their bottom line.
We have all watched Dan use his imagination and great tools to generate incredible projects. We're honored that he shares his knowledge and enthusiasm with those of us that call Letterville home.
Dan played a huge part in selling EnRoute and MultiCam on Letterville. We're baffled on the reasoning, but many Marketing people are still not sold on the Internet as a valuable tool to reach all sorts of their old and new users 24/7/365 days a year. There is no other way to reach so many for so little.
The secret to making your Letterville marketing work is to become part of the Community. Consider it as important as that expensive booth you invest in at sign shows.
I'm still not sure who our Letterville Rep from EnRoute will be, but I invite him or her to visit our Community regularly and get to know us.
Welcome to town EnRoute.

I have been using Enroute Pro for the past year and a half and am amazed at the capability and versatility of this program. I have programmed high-end VMC's in the past using a CAM package that was three times the cost of Enroute. But Enroute does some incredible texture and surfacing tool paths that the other software just couldn't produce as well.
With Enroute Pro running on a MultiCAM we were doing some really detailed work (with down to .005 engraving bits) and it always produced excellent results. Try some 4" x 4" realistic wood grain in Jewelers wax for fun sometime.
It will be interesting to see how they have added to the former package in the new version.

Hello all! I am new to the Letterheads forum, although I've been around the block 53 times. Also, this is the first time I've ever posted on a forum, so please forgive any incorrect propriorties. (My 16 yr.old son is sitting next to me rolling his eyes. I have been an Enroute user sinc their 1st release. I have also tested several other programs out there. Without a doubt Enroute is the easiest to use with more user friendly features. ER4 is absolutely awsome with improved 2-d, 2-1/2d and 3d features. I highly recommend a "look see" at this to all interested. My shop includes a Gerber Sabre 408, AR-600, and Multicam 3000 6 X 12 with 11 station tool changer, ER4 handles 'em all quickly and efficiently. Dave Wilson Dipco

Does all this great publicity mean that residents here can get a nice discount on an upgrade to Enroute 4 Pro from a former version?

I just got my version 4 disc today. The Multicam arrives Monday & I haven't played with version 3 as much as I hoped, since Dan's class in February, so I figured I might as well start right out learning version 4 since I'd want it eventually.
I got a users guid with version 3, but haven't studied it.
Is there a more up to date book out now, that comes with purchases of the full version 4?
I did get an upgrade price, and a 25% discount too... but $1500 is still a lot to spend on an upgrade 4 monthes after purchasing $6000 software...
...so if there is a newer book, I hope I'll be able to get on shipped out ASAP.

There's a pdf of the book for version 4- I've got it, Doug. Our paper version is 3.0- rather out of date, but it's still an easyish program to nut out- at least the basic & plus versions are.
There are a few weird oddities I've found in version 3.3 which we still have (not the pro version though- I'll have to earn that upgrade price, first)
Anyway, I can email you the 4.0 pdf if you like- if you can't get it from anywhere else.

P.S. the non-editable text is a pain, and I get used to corel's wheel-zooming in right where the mouse is, so when Enroute doesn't zoom on the mouse, it's a bit annoying, too. I'd like the link/compound idea to exist, too, but it doesn't. I guess it's not really needed.

EnRoute 4 does zoom in on the mouse. And text is editable in version 4.
Version 4 renders 10 times faster too.
There are some very cool nesting features in version 4 too. And of course the new numeric textures and had carving features are something I'm still experimenting with... lots to play with in the new model!
As one who is resistant to learning new programs or even new versions of programs I found this one worth the price of both learning and $$$.
And a printed manual is now available for those who register their copy of the software I believe.
