Has anyone had issues with ink running out and it not giving a warning; then after you replace the ink it won't print. I am having a heck of a time getting my Magenta to shoot out. THen i find a puddle of Magenta ink goo under the print head station. Anyone have this problem?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Anne, I couldn't get through today, but we worked and worked on it and got it back into production. Yes, I am awaiting a call back from the techs. I just can't figure this out. It is the second time this happend.

Sounds like it might be a pump problem. I think you should call the place you purchased it from and ask them who the nearest repair person is.

Don't trust the auto level feature. Twice I have had the unfortunate experience of running out of ink when the levels showed full. Sometimes the "tab" on the ink cartridge does not fully extend outwards as the ink levels drop to indicate emptiness. As a habit, we now take the cartridges out when the unit is off and shake them to get a feel for how much is left vs. what the machine tells us. I currently have a magenta cartridge that is near empty but shows full.

Yes, why is that. I noticed that right off the bat after we purchased it. They never did read them right and I too check them periodically. Just happend I forgot before I went to print this last time.
Thenks for everyone's help.

My machine did the exact same thing. It is a bad indicator on the cartridge. My technician came to change out my pump, but realized what it was. It drains the line all the way to the head. He used a syringe looking device to pull the ink from the cartridge to the head. I would definitely have them do it just in case. They were suppose to issue me a credit for a cartridge but I don't think they ever did. This reminds me to call my technician about it.

In over two years it only happened to me once on one cartridge. I did a cleaning and the next one worked just great. But it is frustrating no doubt. I chalk it up to normal computer issues. Starting to build in a percentage in my pricing for that now too.
