Yup the gas prices sure are up but now as high as they were for 114 octane I had to use in my Plymouth back five years ago, then I was paying four something a gallon @ 22 gallons weekly. This year however I've changed my strategy and am stroking the 340 to 418 inches in which case I'll still be running a roller cam but with only 8.5 compression pistons and changing the 850 double pumper to a fuel management system. Yes the ol'days are over but the new days have just begun. According to calculations I'll be getting more mpg with more cubic inches and less noise so not to wake up the old people and still be able to run in the 11;s with the proper gear ratios.
I could always drive the Scion or Mercedes for real gas mileage.
BTW, I love the jokes

A guy pulls up to a gas station only to find he only has $5 in his wallet. The attendant laughed, then farted, and asked if he wanted a receipt!
