Hello, does anyone out there have an Allen Datagraph plotter with the "Hot-Tip" function to cut that super thick 3M diamond grade reflective vinyl???

If so, How well does it work??? I am considering purchasing one to make a product line with that material, and was wondering how well it really works?

Thanks for your help!

We used to have a Ioline plotter with a hot tip it worked ok, it was used to cut all types of vinyl.

Back in the early 70"s before Gerber we bought vinyl lettering direct from 3M, it was a secret process and no one could go into the plant in Saint Paul, Minnesota. You could only buy a few different type styles and sizes but it came in a legend and wasn't die cut. There was always a burn line on the backing paper. Later we learned they were using a hot tip device to cut the first vinyl lettering.
