My name is Terry. I used to have a problem with Facebook.
I found I was spending way too much time peeping into the lives of people I used to know and call friends but don't have or even wish to have contact with anymore. I don't know why, I guess it was a sense of nostalgia "seeing" them again. But way too many people were wanting to be my "friend" that I barely even spoke to back in school. It got to a point where I just didn't see the point anymore and took down my page.
The only thing I was really using it for was chatting back and forth with people that I would normally just use e-mail for.

Never visited one. I've been invited a few times but always delete them. I'll admit I'm curious but not sure I desire to start yet another new hobby.

Hell I finally gave in and got a MySpace last week out of sheer boredom. I am too darn old for Facebook! Besides that I am on the Net entirely too much as it is. Gotta set some limits. Love.....Jill

My daughter has a blog for everyone to find her that she invites. I leave it up to her...she's the smarty pants editor of the family...I'm supposed to be busy making signs and she has all the kids to show; she gave up making scrapbooks and developing film to send pics to everyone. She jumped right into the digital world and it's a good thing for her to have this option. Yes, I'm glad she does that,
plus, we have a family newsletter but print that out because some of the older folks don't have a computer. The ages for the newsletter are 2 months to 95 years old and they all contribute! Hey, why have a facebook when we have letterville! That's about half my connects these days anyway. I don't have the time for anything else either. My 19 year old son has his own blog on one of the servers, not facebook. He has fun and uses it wisely to not spend much time on it but connects with locals around here.
