I'm down to the last question ordering a new computer from Dell. I'm getting a 24" widescreen and they're giving me a choice of UltraSharp for $699 or regular for 399, or was it 499 I forget. Is there much difference? the specs all look the same except for a slight difference in refresh rate. I am glad they will sell me a computer without all kinds of useless to me software loaded on it.

Chuck, we've got quite a few Dell flat screens on our various machines here. On one, we ordered the regular monitor instead of the Ultrasharp and were really disappointed in the picture quality. Maybe I'm just spoiled, but it was noticeably not as clear and crisp as the Ultrasharp monitors.

We purchased it about 2 years ago, so maybe the quality gap has closed some, but speaking from my experience... get the Ultrasharp!

Thanks, Jon. I just read some reviews on Dell's website and am convinced to go with the UltraSharp.

Chuck, My new computor has been up and running for a week now and liking it. Dell Vostro with a 22'' Ultra sharp.

The only thing that is taking me some time to get used to is mouse travel. I used to know where everything was on the monitor but with this new length and spread out more it will take me some time.

I ordered a 20" with the system but when it came in I relized I needed more.

Called Dell to upgrade and they sent the 22"ultra sharp and the return shipping tags to pick up the 20" at no additional charge for the larger monitor.

Chuck, I don't know if you have to buy that monitor as a package or not. If not, I bought a samsung SyncMaster 206BW and I have never been so impressed in my life I got the 22" so I could put dual monitors on my desk together.
It was around 450 I think.
