Make a substrate for a simple vinyl sign that is larger then 4 x 8?
Occasionally I get the order for a sign that is like 8 x 12 or so. I have been using aluminum and butting the pieces together on a frame, but no matter how good you do it you can still see the seams. Never very happy with the results.
What are your tricks? Or what materials do you use.

The way you're doing it is probably the most economical, Blake, except for banner material. I've had some made up in that size and stretch over a frame, like they do with billboards. Works quite well, and holds up pretty good too. It does depend on where it's located...free-standing, against a building, whatever. And its relationship to the direct sunlight will be a factor. Hope this helps.
