I've been following this one online throughout development. I had some reservations about Robert Downey Jr. in the title role. My first choice was Edward Norton, (who'll be playing Bruce banner in Hulk 2) but after one look at the trailer, I think he's fit the part to a "T".
Unlike some superhero films which feature a few unknown actors in prime roles, there's some blockbuster names in the cast. Along with Downey are a shaven headed Jeff Bridges, Gwenyth Paltrow, Terrence Howard, and cameos by Samuel L. Jackson and Hillary Swank. Jon Favreau, who played Ben Affleck's legal partner in the "Daredevil" movie, does the directing in this one, and the early buzz is that he's done the Ironman franchise justice. Fans are already looking for a spinoff of "War Machine".
With "Ironman", "Speed Racer", "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian", "Sex And The City : The Movie" and the long awaited return of "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull", next May's looking like a big month for movies.
But that's okay...I like popcorn! Rapid
