What down pessure do you use to cut 3M Scotchlite Reflective Vinyl series 3200? I cut some today at 110 grams and should have used more. I was able to use most of it but it wasn't easy.

We have an older Roland plotter without gram settings. When cutting materials such as reflective and sandblast mask we double cut it. In Signlab I duplicate the sign with no offset on top of itself and cut.

My plotter just got sent out for repair, but if I remember right, we're around 180 to 210 grams. I know it was less than sandblast rubber, but way more than vinyl. On my Roland Pro 1210 (8 year old cutter) we cut vinyl at 110 with a new blade, 120 when it has been in a few weeks.
You can do a test plot and keep kicking up the pressure till it cuts the reflective vinyl and slightly scores the backer, without going through. Sneak up on it and it won't hurt your cutting strip.

Thanks for all the insight . I think the best thing for me is to do a few small tests and increase until I have it, then write that number down. I will try the 180 to start.

On our Roland CX300 we use 260 and on the SP300 220. Your blade extension and life will most likely vary those numbers. We also cut it slower that cast or translucent
