After my and Glenn's "diatribe" I found this pretty hilarious so thought I'd share.

DISCLAIMER: Glenn Taylor may not find this amusing. [Razz]

If it were not sickenly true it would be funny.

Some salient quotes by Thomas Jefferson:
"The natural progress of things is for liberty to yield and government to gain ground."

"Experience demands that man is the only animal which devours his own kind, for I can apply no milder term to the general prey of the rich on the poor."

"Banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies, and that the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity, under the name of funding, is but swindling futurity on a large scale."

You're mistaken, Joe. I always find liberalism amusing.

BTW, I just want to thank Steve and Barb for letting us begin putting up political posts. I'm sure everyone looks forward to it.

Yup.

Instead of hitting the umpteen million political blogs, websites and opinion boards online, I much prefer reading this stuff on one of the very few boards dedicated to sign making.

Maybe I should go post a diatribe about Dibond on the Washington Post's blog site?

Even better, I can drive down to Dartmouth College tonight and jump in on the Democratic debate.

Even more better...I could bring my drums, a big ass snake and a tub of rice cakes, put on a show and raise money for the "Globally Warmed Gay Iranian Shelters"....

Nah...I think I'll just read the sign stuff instead. Ya think?

Ah Glenn, it's comedy [Big Grin] I guess you're mistaken again.

Just by chance, are you a liberalphobe? I'll tell you a secret, I'm a little bit of a liberalphobe too but than I'm also a right-wing fascistphobe [Eek!]

Good post Ricky. It's a shame more people don't read this stuff anymore. There's also some great reading in George Washington's (1796) FAREWELL ADDRESS, that applies to a T why we have problems in the Middle East today. It's astonishing how much more intelligent they were, compared to our politicians of today!

Ray, if you're not interested, just don't read it or join in...It's that simple [Wink]

I look forward to these posts but cannot reply well due to not being able to understand most of you political scholars. Although I am familiar with hearing persons mention liberals and other names that at this time I can't remember which they are, however I do wonder if their meanings effect my income. Personally I don't read newspapers or watch the news as I'm really not interested in any war or occupation of other countries but yet am interested in the occupations by others into my country without proper authorization. This of course could effect my eating habits.

I do agree with Joe's reply to Ray which simply stated reads, Ray, if you're not interested, just don't read it or join in...It's that simple

Now can anyone let me know if the sun is going to rise in the morning?

Joe,where are you finding Tom Tomorrow these days? I thought his regular venue was "Working for Change," but don't see anything there for this month.

Sorry Glenn. Letterville's policy on political, religious. and other contraversal subjects has not changed. They are not wanted. Period.

There are times, when we are on the road for example, when we just don't see this stuff before it gets going. At one time, I used to figure we were all Letterheads. To me that meant we respected the rules set in place by the meet host. Looks like I was wrong. [Smile]
