I have used simple "sail-track" aluminum sections to mount flex face signs on trucks, walls etc.
Hard to explain without pics but the track in cross section looks like a tube with a slot one side and a flat flange the other.
You have a rope or cord the same inside diameter as the tube sewn into the edges of the flex face on all four sides.
Pop rivet, or Teck screw (quicker), the top section to the truck/wall ... slide in the top of the sign face .... slide on the bottom track and hand tension down to fix in place. Same with ends.
Cheap ... simple ... effective.

Jon, The Sail-Track sounds just like channel rail on the tops of some awnings. Never have used for that application, but i am sure it would work great. Great solution for corrogated siding.
