New awning covered with Sunbrela fabric...I want to cut a paint mask and spray with latex paint, however I can't get the mask to adhere enough to remove the pre-mask...any suggestions? I don't want to use the iron on material, as the awning is already installed. Thanks in advance for your advice.

I use intermediate vinyl, 3m spray adhesive and heat with a heat gun or hair dyer to mask sunbrella. I use 1shot same color as the awning (to prevent bleed) 1st coatlet dry overnight, next day final coat in color I want. I also use disposable foam brushes.
Hope that helps

Seems many like the FabTac.

FabTac works great. Even if you don't iron it on -- it has a real aggressive adhesive and will probably work better than hp cast vinyl which some use. They ship the product quick and have good instructions.

Use latex house paint and put a thin coat on first of a matching color of the fabric. Apply 2 more coats of color of your choice and then pull off the FabTac. The graphic will come off razor sharp.

If using bright yellow on a dark color Sunbrella, after you coat the thin color matching the fabric, paint your first coat white and then your second yellow and you'll avoid additional coats as yellow has poor coverage.

I have found the best results with a flat sheen, my next choice would be satin. I avoid the higher sheens as they dry slower and don't pull off as clean an edge.
