Have any of you heard of this Goji Juice stuff?
I had heard of other stuff, like Noni Juice, but not this. My customer told me about it last nite & when she showed up today she looked 40 pounds lighter, happier, & healthier. She was taking meds for Fibre Mayalgia, depression, you name it, & says this stuff is great. Her pain is gone, her fatigue, & she claims Lupus people (like me) have been taking it & do not need their meds anymore.

If it works on Fibromyalgia, it's got to be great stuff!! I've seen it advertised but never really looked into it. I tried the Noni but it was basically a $40 bottle of blended fruit juices.

i love goji berries(super fruit)!! i buy by the 5lb bag cause they're expensive as hell but they are a well balanced snack...4gr protein, 4gr sugar and 4 gr fiber. i usually stick a few dark chocolate chips with raw cashews and goji berries...it makes a great gorp. here's a little more info: The goji berry, a sweet red fruit native to Asia, serves as both a botanical medicine and a food, and has a very pleasant taste - somewhere between a cherry and a cranberry. It has been used as a medicinal food for thousands of years, and has been studied extensively in modern times to substantiate its health benefits. With over 15% protein, 21 essential minerals, and 18 amino acids, as well as lycium barbarum polysaccharides (LBP), goji berry is a nutrient-dense superfood in a class all its own.
Here are just a few of the many benefits you get from eating goji berries:
Strengthens the immune system Provides antioxidant and anti-aging effects Protects the liver Builds strong blood and promotes cardiovascular health Supports eye health and improves vision

I was very excited to try Gogi. After listening to the testimonial cd's and reading the literature, I was so pumped to hopefully take care of my high blood pressure and allergies.
I signed up and took the 3 month challenge. 2 ounces a day for 3 months. My blood pressure hasn't dropped one bit and my allergies are still in full force.
ButI will say that yes, all the research shows that Gogi berries are the most nutritionally dense food on the planet. And I think they would help many people. But in my case, I have been taking colloidal minerals for several years now and have a pretty good diet.
My personal opinion is that many people see great benefits from Gogi, especially if they are ill and / or mineral deficient. At $70.00 a month for 2 ounces a day, I'm going to quit.
Actually, on their 90 day challenge, if you see no benefits they'll refund you your money (less shipping) if you save the bottles and return them. That's what I'm going to do. If I ever get cancer, Gogi will be consumed at about 7 ounces a day.
Edit: The 90 day challange is with the company called Free Life.

Sounds like the latest fad, just like Mangosteen was a couple of years ago. Now you never hear about it any more.

I hear of mangosteen all the time. Gogi is proven to be the most nutritionally dense food on earth. It's been the most studied food too. It is unsurpassed in the amount of polypeptides, anti oxidants, and polysacharides and is loaded with vitamins & minerals. Just how much it's really going to help you as an individual is really a personal thing. It depends on much you as an individual are lacking in nutrients.

Hmmmm..interesting info. Thank you, Dave. Maybe I will take the 90 day challenge & see what happens, knowing I can get my money back, if I am not happy. But you know, it would be a shame to spend that amt. of money when all you need is vitamins.
The only thing that bothers me is, the people who swear by it keep saying how you could make so much money selling it, too. It reminds me of the Amway couple that tried to get us to sell their stuff years ago, then when we firmly finally said no, we never heard from them again.

Our shop is right next to a snake oil store. I've been a few times and the guy tried to sell me "super water" or something; says it'll cure anything from cancer to diaper rash. Like everything else, it's always all about the money. It may well be the most nutritionally dense food but how much is 2nd place and by what margin? If it's only 20% less, I'll just eat 20% more and save the money. I do eat blueberries for antioxidant purposes and other fruits and nuts for the benefits. If a person listens to their body it will tell then what it needs. Also, *assimilation* is the key word in a lot of health foods; it may have three times as much vitamin Z as the next best thing but if your body can't absorb (or assimilate) it, the end result is that you've wasted your money.

Although I'm no expert on this, I would say to find comparable fruits that are very, very fresh with the enzymes still intact. There are so many "convenience" foods that cost too much for the average person, but if it works for you, go for it.
Maybe to find out what it is that you may need in your body by having a hair analysis and see if there are any minerals or amounts of vitamins that you may be able to obtain without spending so much may be an option. Wouldn't it be great to just go over to Asial (if it were practical) there and eat out of your yard?!
When ginseng, for instance, came to be a well known crop here, it seemed that only in the Tennessee mountains and limited places in the US could grow it or have it grow wild. Now there is HSU health food owner who harvests it in Wisconsin. I met her in Ohio where she had her stores, so it must be the climate and soil that we have up here which is some of the richest in the country. Maybe the berries can be grown here under strict conditions?
Bobbie I admire you for asking, and maybe on some website someone will have the same experiences and maybe some great advice. I always figure it would be a fool to not ask questions! All questions are good questions! Good luck in your journey of health, Bobbie. (for now I drink cherry concentrate in spring water and am doing the "master herbal cleanse". It's interesting and helps my muscles.

Seems that often times there's a lot of hype in marketing. Makes it hard to trust sometimes. Seems to me, the product is best the way God makes it...WHOLE.

I have a relative that tried to get me to sign up to the Mangosteen juice program. It was like $30 for a small whiskey bottle sized jug.
I decided instead to try the junkfood therapy. Bigmacs, lot's of pop, ice cream and Little Debbie's snacks.
I feel darn good everytime I eat any of the above. Instantly puts me in a good mood. Maybe I should eat some of that stuff before going to the movies?! Hahaha.
