Tall ships have always been a great fascination for me, I enjoy your work, great talent. I saw several tall ships at Harbor fest 2007 in Norfolk, VA. Did not get to board any but I got some great Kodak moments. Thanks for sharing yours. Don

One day I was heading down into the city and the parade was heading under the Golden Gate Bridge. There was this Russian ship with men atop all the masts that probably had a forty foot roll in each direction on a calm day and those guys were close to the bridge. I stopped to watch and was a bit late for my doctors appointment.

Back in the mid 80's they built a tall ship in our town. I got to sail on it a couple of times and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! I even had the privilege of painting a mural of it on a local wall.
Tall ships have a magic about them like no other thing.

Every so often the Lady Washington comes into the Port of Port Angeles, she's quite a beautiful ship and was used as the 'Interceptor' in the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
I also enjoyed seeing the tall ships while in Halifax with the Balch's a few years back. So romantic. A:)
Here is a picture I took this past Sunday 7/22 of the Mayflower II in Plymouth, Massachusetts. I was in a kayak at the time. They took it out of the harbor for a sail. This was part of a celebration of the 50th anniversary of sailing the replica over from England in 1957.
I was lucky enough to get a shot of it without the hundreds of other boats in the picture. It was swarmed with ships and boats as it left the harbor...
