We use Versa works for most printing but occasionally print out of Signlab. Our problem is when we print out of Signlab the printer dumps the black ink. It seems to be dumping 2 to 3 times the amount it should. It then bleeds into the other colors butting up against it. Has anyone ever had this problem? If so do you know the fix. I posted in the Signlab forum but only got wise comments. Thanks for any help.

We have been using Corel as our design program and have no issues at all. What is the profile you are using?

We were told by the salesman to use "best" when printing out of Signlab. Understand, when I take the same file and print out of Versaworks the print is fine. When I print it out of Signlab it just dumps the black ink. The reason we sometimes print from Signlab is we occasionally have trouble with Versaworks ripping a file.

Hi Robert,

Can you provide a few more details?

1) Version and build of SignLab (e.g., Help menu >> About SignLab >> press ' r ' ).

2) Printer driver version (e.g., Print and Cut Manager >> Printers menu >> Manage Printers).

3) The manufacturer code for the media you are using (e.g., PCM-MAC7).

4) The print mode that you were using to print (File menu >> Print and Cut Setup).

Not sure what you mean by wise comments. For the CADlink InfoSource forums, perhaps it would be worthwhile to post back to those fellows that their advice didn't give joy. They seemed to be trying to help you.

Cheers,

Rod at CADlink

Rod, my boss spoke with Shelly today and she told us to download the latest build (10)....we currently have (7). She seem to think that was going to fix our problem.

Thanks for your time Rod & I'll post with my results.
