MY first night in Canada was in Vancouver. I got my rental car the next morning, they only had a PT cruiser but its cool, and started my driving adventure to Duncan's in Edmonton. I found Dan's place after driving past it a couple of times.....he wasn't there....he was on his way back from Minnesota.... he's doing a job at the Mall of America, There was only his helper there but she showed me around...I only stayed 10 mins and took some photos then left, I'll stop in for a few hours on the way back. The scenery on the drive from Vancouver was stunning.... Then I stayed overnight in Kamloops....But the scenery from Kamloops to Hinton, through Jasper national park Alberta was absolutely mind blowingly stunningly magnificent!!!! Awesomley beautiful scenery I am overnighting in Hinton and leaving in the morning to catch up with Jon & Sue and to meet Duncan, spend a bit of time at West Edmonton Mall then.... On to Kelly and Moose Jaw... I'm Loving Canada

I will second that Sarge! That drive rates amongst the best in the world I have ever done. Hope you stopped a few or more times along the way and sidetracked. We did ... it's even better tahn from the freeway.
Seeya (after lunch?) tomorrow at Duncan's shop.
Dawgie and I did a mjor display install at the airport today .... 10 hours straight!
That frees him up to play tomorrow to do panels for Moose Jaw.
Plan to take you to the Mall Saturday. Sue went today and I dare not ask what she put on her "plastic fantastic money" !!!!!!!!
Dawg's shop is dead easy to find off the freeway exit. Just watch the potholes!

And watch out for Stevo in his delivery truck! Love...Jill PS It is some gorgeous country out there. I enjoyed the drive from Edmonton to Pat Welter's farm in 2004.

Hey, I like mayo on french fries! It's gravy on french fries that doesn't make sense: first you bake them crispy, then you pour hot gravy over it to make them limp and soggy. Same goes for gravy over breaded meat. What do you call that? North American cuisine?

What about the Raisin pop or soda in Canada, sure sounds delicious umm. But i did like the white vinagar on the fries before I stopped eating potatoes. BTW, how many potatoes do ya have to eat before ya die?

Joey, I think you're readin' the wrong side of the label. "Raisin" is french for "grape", and here in the land of the Two Solitudes, everything must be labeled in French and what passes for English. MUR

Graham...it was OK without the cheese curds! Those were the yucky parts. The locals sold fried cheese curds at Mike's meet one year. Something about the word "curd" just bugs me!
Love....Jill

Back in Wisconsin Cheese Curds are a recognized food group all by themselves! You can find them right by the 400 varieties of brats!
What I'm wondering about....can you find a good strong cup of coffee up there?....I'm going to need one after my upcoming Journey to the Prairie next Tuesday!
