Every time we build a new project our Phoebe has to give it a test drive... its just the way it is!

Today as we did the final touches on the parade float it was time for a wing walk on the biplane and then some serious chicken wranging...

I'm the grampa Dana... dads aren't allowed to have this much fun.

Actually her dad is a fun guy. He teaches her lots of cool stuff and has a lot of fun with Phoebe too.

But I also get my turn to spend some time with her most days and my job as grampa is one I take seriously... its all about fun! We painted with real paint today for the first time. Yellow happens to be one of her favorite colors and we had some handy along with a one inch fitch... nothing but the best for Phoebe!

She did a great job painting her blocks and best of all now Phoebe has a painting outfit for when she comes over. She REALLY gets into painting!! [Smile]

Ready for another day of fun tomorrow in Yarrow...

She's a real cute kid. Took a shine to "Uncle Bushie^" ... walking down the road to restaurant for dinner clutching Dan's hand ... next minute a hand grabs mine and we we played jump the cracks in the sidewalk all the way there!

Gotta post finished float Dan. That was fun!

Boy Ray you gotta eye for detail! I completely missed that. I think its just the carnival atmosphere up there though, I don't think it was accidental.

Grampa Dan the chickens look cool, but I like the bi-plane even better... you're getting closer and closer to something I'd actually fly.. (although if it were real the thing would go backwards... the prop pitch is reversed)

When can we see some more pics of it??

Jon, that's a Canadian metric radial engine in Dan's plane. They run 'em backwards north of the 49th parallel.

Edited to add: It's also possible that recent "Down Under" influence in the shop has affected the crankshaft rotation.
