Sounds like a great idea, except the theater is going to now get sued by the 'rowdy' people for profiling and discrimination.

"We're offended because they always give the pager to the clean-cut white guy with a mustache and the 'I Love Mr. Rogers' t-shirt."

Major release pix only allow wood bats. You can still use Aluminum at the dollar theaters.

At first this SOUNDS like it would solve the problem but I see it creating even MORE problems....

"A hand-held pager is given to a random member of the Regal Crown Club Loyalty Program who's attending each movie."
Random by who's standards? And what if they are a "prankster", just push the button to watch the theatre people scramble? What if they pass the box around and lose it?
Here's a thought...wy don't they just have an usher CHECK every so often how things are going...OR give someone a free ticket to be "hall monitor"? Sounds like this is a high tech, bad idea to me.
