Oooh, I got a twofer.

Will you ever actually "retire" in the true sence of the word?

I hope so. I'm sure I'll always have projects though.

What made your favorite teacher so special?

I didn't have any particularly inspiring teachers. I'd have to say Biology in college. She had a great Russian accent and she let me sleep as long as my grades were high. I missed more than half the classes and slept through most of the others and still got an A.

What was your last heart stopping moment?

Depends on whether it's family (our kids) and a tiny white lie, in which case the whole story needs considering, or if it's someone else, in which case I make a mental note to significantly reduce my contact and trust with that person in the future. The "why" it is done needs considering though...

When was the last time you painted some scrolls on something?

edited to add I just missed out on that... anything but human- difficult- I'm quite happy being human, but...how about an amoeba!

So...when was the last time you painted some scrolls on something?

Guess I can answer 2 questions...
If I weren't human and could choose to be anything... I'd be a spoiled pet... probably a golden retriever.

The last time I painted scrolls was at Dusty Campbell's shop. I was just playing with some of my brushes.

I used to paint only, but nowadays I use mostly vinyl. I pick up a brush once or twice a year. I like painting and am very good at it, but there's just no money to be made around here by painting.

Do you still use MDO, or have you pretty much replaced it with other substrates?

Afraid so. 3-5 vans, couple of banners, a few layouts, and ride installers on two jobs. Plus take my son to a baseball game, guitar lesson, and summer tennis lesson sign ups; take my wife out to celebrate her birthday; and church functions on Sunday. So I'll be plenty busy.

Grandma (Mom's mom) lived with my family for 28 years. She was WONDERFUL! She taught me to quilt, sew, crochet, make cookies and to always try to be a good person. She didn't have anything, as Grandpa fell off a roof (carpenter) and left her with 8 daughters, but she was a great role model!

What type of sign jobs do you dread!?
