(Ray, I remembered the formula as 1/3 pi * r^2 which I THINK will get the same answer as the formula you posted.... however, I get 4.19 cu ft.... did you remember to multiply times the height?)
Ok... SORRY, Karyn.. here's one for ya... What are YOU wearin'??

Last week it was scooping up the entrails and ejected fetus from a deer killed on the highway out front of the shop by a guy on a crotch rocket. Usually though it is just picking up Weezer turds.

Well, he got up off the bike running. He was only wearing shorts and tennies. I thought he had the deer's blood on him until I realized his left arm, from wrist to his shoulder blade, was skinned raw. He seemed OK other than that, the paramedics checked him out. I think he was in shock. I know we were. We live on a 4-lane highway and it's lucky only the poor deer was killed.

It was OK. Lettered two roll-off boxes in the sun and thought about Alicia's black truck. A customer paid off a bad check and I found a $50 in my office that another customer must have left last week.

There seem to be so many I can't keep track. My son Asa is 4 and daughter Jill is 10. Asa seems to have a real sense of humor at his age and is always trying to make us laugh. He is also a great help in the shop, (if I knew how to post photos I would) One of the funniest things is him putting things on his head...like my wifes bed pillow which is square, you know the kind that has the pocket? He walks around calling himself "pillowhead" and bumps into walls.. He put on sisters shower cap last night and looks hilarous. (Anybody tell me how to attach photos?)

My big park sign for a local community. Bid on it in April...got approved in August. Got the deposit check in September. Ordered the supplies in October. Delivered tham all starting in October and finishing on May 5th. I think it was close to 150 signs. They still don't have them installed.
If you could change your first name, what would you choose? Or are you satisfied with what you have?
(Jeff's daughter being named Jill made me think of this question...I always wished my name was longer, like Jillian)

I've gotten ribbed since I was a kid for my name. Ray Ray Ray-ome...that one used to bug me.
It pretty much changed all by itself when the nickname came along. Most folks in town and the majority of my customers refer to me as Rapid...some don't even know my real name. As for changing, I wouldn't mind changing the last name. You don't wanna know how bad it gets butchered by telemarketers.
What is the SHORTEST distance you ever traveled for a Letterhead meet?

There are seldom more than one per year downunder...unless you include a few lowercase meets or minimeets, so...the answer is two- but one per year for the past eight? years.
A question for those who've never attended a letterhead meet : WHY not?

I have been painting signs for money since 1973.
I am now employed as a designer for a large electric sign company. I am now officially shedding my "hapless loser" title because it bothered my friends who felt I was anything but a loser. Thanks guys! I don't care what what any of you think about me having a full time job... Hahahahahahaha! Yup... laughing with some of you and at some others. LOL! Just kidding.
Like Cheryl Norby used to tell me all the time... "those that matter don't mind and those that mind don't matter!" Boy, I got some great signie friends!
I started off using CASmate and Corel 5. I moved on up to Corel 8 and eventually upgraded to Inspire and FlexiSign 7. I now work almost exclusively in Corel X3.
What is your design program of choice?
