I'm open to be put just about anywhere with a paintbrush, but my brushes are used to water-based paint now... But I guess I could convert a few.
A new development occurred yesterday... My son Michael (who is 13) broke his right collar bone. I'm not sure yet if he'll make the meet now, but I'm hopeful. I know there are several boys his age coming, so I hope he decides he's up for it still. He's in a restraint that holds his right arm immobile, and he has pain medications. I think this will be an experience of a lifetime, and I hate for him to miss it, but I don't want to harm him either. Do y'all think it would be too much on him to come?

Hi Nancie, Our Son Quinn who is also 13, will be there too. I think you should bring your boy anyway, because he will have a broken collar bone in Georgia or Wisconsin regardless! The kids begin to heal very quick and he should be feeling better by the meet. The other boys should know what it is like to be on the mend and slow down the pace for your boy! This is too cool for him to miss. It sounds like a great place for the next generation to meet and have some Summer fun! Can't wait to be there. Andy Goretski

I would love to bring my 19 year old son also. He's just stopped working at a restaurant after a year and a half and out of college for the summer. He's doing a roofing job now but he's finished by Sun night.
There are many of you that I would truly enjoy seeing again and working together with you! Still working on some plan to come. luv, Deb

Hey Laurie, I know Carole was planning on bringing her 13 year old son & 15 year old daughter too. My 16 year old daughter is also coming, and she's so psyched that Evan (Jay Allen's son) will be there too. I don't know who's more excited, me or her! Sounds like the wall pups will be thick in Algoma! Deb...I so hope you come. It will be great to see you again, I'm sure your son will be a pleasure to meet too...and maybe we can even work together.

Looks like my kids won't be coming along after all. My daughter's in the midst of play rehearsals and my son has summer school. Mostly they seem to just want a vacation from mom. Oh well. Their loss.

Any weather forecasts for upstate Wisconsin for this week? Laurie, Andy, Kurt???????????
Gettin' fired up here.
Tip for painters:
paint the ends of the handles of your fitches a single color. Mine are purple.
This makes it easier to identify your brushes when they get massed in thinner at the end of the day.
Dave tells me my wall will be 1 Shot and I would be honored and humbled to have anyone work with us. I'll be dustin' off my sun hat and polishing off my shades. See you soon!
P.S.
Any newbies might be required to recite the oath I.O.A.F.S. Bernie Lohmeyer was outstanding last year and may go down in the annals of walldogism as giving the best pledge of all. But, hey, this is a new year and any pledge can be bested. So bring ye cameras and be ready to behold and witness.

I can't wait either! (I hope I sleep tonight.) We set out tomorrow after rush-hour traffic is gone.Staying in Lexington,KY tomorrow night. Then heading through Louisville and Indianapolis. Looks like I'm picking Deb Fowler up on our way. If the Diazes are still in Pontiac when we come through, we may stop by. If anyone else is on the way, lemme know if it's alright to hollar "Hey Y'all!" on our way through. Looks like we may be going thru Bloomington/Normal and then up towards Rockford. I guess we'll head toward the coast of Lake Michigan and follow the road up to Algoma. So sorry to hear that your kids can't make it, Carole. Maybe we'll get to meet them at another meet. My son nearly had to go to summer school. He was blessed that one of his teachers allowed him to make up some work so he wouldn't fail & be restricted the whole summer. Great tip Bioll!...I'll do that. It sure would be nice to see a list of all who are planning to be there...

We are leaving EARLY Wednesday morning to go up the same way you are, Nancy. (Bill likes to leave on vacations at UNGODLY hours, like 4 AM!)We are going to try to avoid the Chicago traffic by going through Rockford. I feel bad about leaving on Wednesday, though, because that is Ben's birthday. And to top it off, he has a wedding that weekend and can't come with us so he will have to celebrate it here. We will be celebrating in Algoma!

We may be able to catch you on the way back. We may stick around long enough to make the 1st day of Taste of Chicago on 6/29. Jessie is so wanting to see Chicago, so we're planning on sticking around a little while afterwards... but she has work to be back to so we still aren't sure. I understand the early bird thing. My dad was that way, only he liked to leave late at night to drive when it was cool and less traffic. Driving at night freaks Jessie out- and she's gonna help drive- so we leave after rush hour. Anyway, I can hardly contain my excitement!

I have not been on the BB much lately, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I will be helping Andy out on his project. He made mention of it months back and I told him I would certainly be there to do whatever would fit my capabilities. If it helps though, I might be able to get Lloyd to come along and bring his popcorn slippers and you two could reminisce (sp?) about the fun you both had during the Leinie's wall in 2001? You get done today? What time you came?
I'm just having a heckuva hectic few weeks here... I can't get enough done and the phone never stops ringing. If I got paid 100.00 for every estimate I've given in the last month, I could retire on that alone!
If I can squeeze out any help Mike, I will. You know I'm not afraid to work late. You can discuss things with Hunter when he gets there about any business ventures.... I'll make him aware that he may have a "job" for him
See you guys soon.

Hey, all you! Well, Nancie's in for a meatball and spaghetti dinner and we've got the air mattresses ready for the kids! What time are you walldogs projecting the murals? Do you want me to bring my projector? It is a TS500 and it has a cooling fan. Please let me know so we pack that instead of the jetski (just kidding). We may not get there till Thurs noon or 1, so I wondered if you'll be projecting the following evening also. That way I'll know about bringing the projector. Will someone let us know? Jane and Bill, I would be honored to work on your wall if you need a hand. I can do the "beginner work" like fill in and linings, perhaps, if you want me. Jane, you're such a riot, I'd hang around just to hear you crack your jokes. I'll work anywhere I'm needed though. Weather is cool and decent here, after the monsoon we had in 1 hour last night. People had 3 ft of water in streets and roads here. Cooled it off though, and it's great weather for painting. Is Algoma cooling down also? Let me know about the projector, please if you get a chance, thanks.

They will most likely have the projecting long finished buy that time, unless they add another wall. In either case, use your space for the jetski, I'm sure they will have plenty of projectors on hand.
Have some fun.

Just wanted to say all the best to you guys. Hope you have a wonderful time - I'm sure you will with the crew you have going. It looks like you have a lot of work to do...the great thing about Walldoggin' is work is also fun. There are a few that will be coming on to Moose Jaw from there...don't play them out too much, please. Actually, I think it is going to be pretty laid back here... Have a great time - wish I could join you!
