I am painting some graphics on a bean bag game. I was planning on using an oil-based enamel and clearcoating it to protect the work from the beating it's going to take from the bean bags being tossed at it from 20 or so feet away. What do you use to clearcoat the oil-based enamel?

Canvas or something like that with corn in them. Thanks for asking. I also want to add that what I'm really getting at is can I use automotive catalyzed (sp?) urethane clear (such as HOK) on the enamel? That's what I want to use but I don't know if it's compatible. Or Polyurethane. Is that compatible?

I would use latex paint. The oil based you talked about will harden, become brittle and crack off. The Latex will wear off eventually but will flex better with the canvas material. Are you paiting Bears logos on them?

You are painting boxes for a cornhole game. Yes, "cornhole" is the name of the game (insert giggle here). We have a few that we play with here at the shop during lunch. Official cornhole rules state that high gloss latex paint be used for the face of the game. You might want to gauge how serious a player the customer is. They might everything regulation. Charge 'em double if they want a Bears logo on it.
