Anyone ever use this program? How does it compare with how it's advertised?

I'm going to be ordering it very soon, like Monday. Si remembers an old post but if you've never tried it, you shouldn't knock it, which I saw on the other thread.

I downloaded the demo version and had an on line real time live demo. The program is amazing and blows away anything previously on the market.

In your new SignCraft is a discount code to download the program for $199.

Not only does it have tools for tracing that are so different from Streamline, (my Steamline is going to be trashed when I get Imagaro) but also much more intuitive. You see your original, and with sliders can manipulate any part of the art and see the origianl art, the first trace, and the new curves.

A lot of people on this board say to just redraw the the art over a scan. Well that's fine and easy when the art isn't very complicated. How about fonts? Want to try to make perfect letters from a scan by drawing by hand? I had a piece of art that we spent 7 1/2 hours fixing for a vinyl paint mask. It had to be done. It was very complicated. I sent the original art work over to graphical Systems, he took my art that I spent over seven hours on and did an area online, right in front of me in real time. He worked on an area about 25% fo the whole art and in 15 minutes he had it nailed. That would have put the whole job at about an hour instead of 7!!!

Here's the website

There's a free trial version. Before you say nothing is better than SignLab, or Streamline, or Corel, try the demo. It is truly a new way to vectorize art.

Almost forgot the best part. Need to scan a font? Do you know all the fonts you have on all your CD's? With Imagaro Z, you show the program all the fonts you own simply by inserting all your CD's to let Imagaro check them out. It builds a data base for reference of all the fonts you own. It can identify fonts in a scan even if it is stretched or compressed, and it will replace the scanned with the vector outline of the proper font, IF you already own the font. How cool is that?

The US distributor is seriously considering being a merchant here. And remember, through June 15th you can order on line with a coupon code in SignCraft to knock $100 off the $299 regular price.

Dave, thanks for the heads up.

I am thinking about this one as I am constantly coming up against the font ID problem. A lot of my work involves recreating others' artwork which would take too long to chase down a vector file for, so this program could be the business.

I must try the live demo too.

I also see the 45 day money back guarantee for satisfaction. That expression of confidence speaks loudly to me.

I'm glad the Z is coming around. I have it and haven't perfected it's use. I was feeling pretty low based on that past post.
It does things that sign painters have always wished a program could do, like automatically make regular shapes and easily reduce nodes. The font substitution is really sweet when it works. You pay more for the font recognition. And I'm not sure that always works. I'm unclear that the program has loaded all of the fonts I asked it too, but that's where the operator could use some improvement. How do you get tech help with them? anybody know?
